Warm enough for ice worms

A late setting moon during the half hour before sunrise is breath taking at this time of year. This is what I saw at quarter after 6 this morning from my deck in town.
I have tried to capture the subtle and serene beauty dozens of times over the past few years, but always am disappointed with the results. That is the case again this morning. I just don't seem to end up with a picture as pretty as the real scene. Will keep trying, though.
Temperature was -29 C (-21 F) at picture time, forecast to reach a scorching -8 C (+18 F) this afternoon. A couple more days of this heat is sure to bring out the ice worms.
